What types of training do you do?
In-service training consists of any necessary certifications/renewals, other police related tasks, and at times presentations from community organizations about social problems or issues that officers may encounter in their duties.
Our officers also attend training sponsored by other agencies, usually in specialized topic areas. Much of the time, the outside training is for the officer to become an instructor in the specialized area. This allows for that officer to take what they have learned and disseminate it to the rest of the department.
